IS THERE ANY PARTIAL OR PERMANENT PROTECTION FOR YOU ON THE JOB ?

In any working environment, risks do exist for workers in the work place. For employers of labor to provide better working place for their employees in order to perform their duties, employees themselves must be proactive in identifying risk factors in every working environment and seek for protection if employers failed to provide such.
Despite visible instructions in many organizations by employers that maximum protection is provided, employees still suffer from injuries, accidents, diseases and death arising from the negligence of many employers in the office environment.
Whenever there is accident, in most cases what the employers do provide for upkeep of the concerned workers is insignificant to what can bring back injured workers to normal life.
Pension Reform Act (PRA 2004) do provide benefits for workers that retired on the job but not salary earners that suffered partial or permanent disability on the job on or before retirement.
The only solution for salary earners to secure insurance for themselves on the job is to discuss with employer, in order to register the organization with the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), based on the new Employees Compensation Act (ECA).Your employer only contributes 1% of its payroll to NSITF for maximum protection and adequate compensation in the case of any injury, death, disability, diseases arising out of, or in the course of employment.
When a letter of appointment is issued by your employer and it's adequately accepted by you, ECA protects you to the point of retirement when PRA (2004) takes over.
Insist on your maximum protection today.
