MAJOR REASON WHY WORKERS SHOULD KEEP 30% OF 2013 DECEMBER SALARY FOR JANUARY,2014 EXPENDITURE.

workers all over the world are very similar to organizations like banks,industries, agency of government and all corporate institutions when it comes to balancing the revenue and expenditure accounts. As a salary earner, to balance salary accounts means equating your monthly or annual income to monthly or annual expenditure. For workers to have a surplus fund in the bank, there is need for salary earners to always strive to cut down expenditure and prioritize their demand.
December and January are two festive months that naturally do increase the quantity and cost of family food consumption, high cost of personal clothing and children wears. There are also other expenditure that do creates high cost of living in December which must be curtailed by 10% in order to face the challenges of paying children school fees, cost of accommodation in the new year, security fees, water rate, car maintenance/transportation cost and food items consumption in 2014 January.
Human beings naturally have unlimited wants and demand. If 30% of this month salary is not saved for January 2014 expenditure, there is every possibility that many workers would attempt to borrow whenever there is a shortfall in the revenue of their employers or in case whenever there is a late payment of salary in January, 2014 as a result of late passage of the budget.
For salary earners to be able to save 30% of December 2013 salary, there is need to approach very early your office cooperative society for the large purchase of food items like rice, wheat, grains, meat, seasoning, chicken, milk, beverages, vegetable oil, red oil and clothing. All these products are to be purchased from the cooperative savings and sheared to members at a moderate and affordable prices.
The availability of all the above food items in the home of all salary earners and keeping 30% of December salary in the bank account will not only make all workers have rest of mind, but also  make them to have self satisfaction that is in most cases associated with precautionary motive for saving money.

3 MONTHS SECRET OF SUCCESS FOR SALARY EARNERS JUST REVEALED.

For the first time in the last three years of my working career, part of my annual leave that just ended was spent in Kwara state purposely to learn from my teacher, the 3 months secret of success. My teacher was neither a professor nor an investment manager but a retiree turned business mogul.

Question 1: What is your present age and when did you retired from public service, sir ?
Papa D : I am 85 years old. I retired from public service at the age of 55.

Question 2: Sir, I do not want to count your assets, but I can see a mini-estate, products distribution warehouse and block making factory. When did you start accumulating all of these ?
Papa D : I started learning cocoa business from my father very early in life but joined public service after completing my elementary school. It was the savings accumulated for many years from my salary that was used to purchase two acres of land in 1970. The desire to set up block making factory started before the actual retirement from the public service.

Question 3: Sir, you look so much relaxed and comfortable at your age. Please what is the secret ?
Papa D : Simple ! 3 months planning was my strategy when I was in public service.

Question 4: When did you start implementing 3 months strategic planning ?
Papa D: I started implementing 3 months planning when I was at the age of 30.

Question 5: Can you please explain briefly the philosophy behind 3 months secret of success ?
Papa D: Three months planning allows one to be more flexible in the attainment of goals. If you have a project in mind and a year or two is set to achieve it, it can be broken down for ease of implementation. In every 3 months, part of your salary can be used to achieve a potion of your long term goals. And in case there is a little challenge in implementation, one can easily re-adjust and continue. 
Three months planning allows one not to easily loose focus in the attainment of any desired goals. When I was in public service, our salary was very small, though the purchasing power was very high, nevertheless saving of little income contributed immensely to the achievement of both my pre-retirement goals and post-retirement business success. Adopt 3 months secret of success today and reform your life circle.

Between years 2006 and 2007, I asked 4000 workers of local, state and federal public service the following simple question.
What benefit (s) do you desire to get by working for government as a public servant ?
Out of 3500 respondents, 3200 public servants joined public service because of pension and gratuity to be collected in retirement. In a democratic environment like ours, as long as there is legitimate job vacancies, no one is restricted to any particular job. Working for government is a good option, but developing wrong perception about the perfection of gratuity and pension in taking good care of workers welfare in retirement is a major problem, and double tragedy that today's employees must address before it's too late. 
It's also a very wrong believe that after working for many decades, pension to be collected is perpetual.
Visit your Pension Fund Administrator (PFA), Pension Fund Custodian (PFC) and / or PENCOM today for clarification on the following questions that will ultimately determine part of your fortune in and outside employment.

IS THERE ANY PARTIAL OR PERMANENT PROTECTION FOR YOU ON THE JOB ?

In any working environment, risks do exist for workers in the work place. For employers of labor to provide better working place for their employees in order to perform their duties, employees themselves must be proactive in identifying risk factors in every working environment and seek for protection if employers failed to provide such.

When a letter of appointment is issued by your employer and it's adequately accepted by you, ECA protects you to the point of retirement when PRA (2004) takes over.

A GOOD LESSON THAT WORKERS IN NIGERIA MUST LEARN FROM THE PROBLEM OF SALARY EARNERS IN DETROIT.

When I was in higher college in the Mid-Eighties (1980's), one of the best manufacturing, industrialized and the richest city in the world that I learned from the World Geography class was Detroit,U.S.A
Today, Detroit is no longer poor but to be adjudged soon or otherwise as the most bankrupt city in U.S.A
What is bankruptcy ? This is a legal term that simply means a proceeding including a person, organization and firm that is unable to repay outstanding debt.
Until this moment, Detroit has the best pension management structure, yet the whole pension collapsed.
What lesson do we need to learn ?
The reason why Detroit in U.S.A was considered to be a paradise and the richest state in the time passed and of recent was that workers pension, including pension fund contributed by salary earners in public service was used to promote, finance and developed Detroit to enviable status in the world.
Today, all pension benefits of 23,500 workers are not to be found as a result of downward economic trend and yet to be established factors. Workers in Detroit are now in problem as to how to get back their pension, not to talk of interest on their savings.
If  23,500 workforce in Detroit ( U.S.A ) can face this kind of problem despite their pension management superiority over the years, then salary earners in Nigeria must learn not to put all their eggs in one basket.

The need to bring out a well packaged blog that provides researched solution to myriad problems of the entire salary earners becomes imperative based on the fact that most today’s salary earners in both public and private sectors are under paid.

Under the labor laws, workers have right to negotiate for salary increase to offset harsh economic condition that has brought upon them.
